It went great. The beginning and end are all you can see on the RealAudio clip archive, but Senator Barrientos read the entire resolution and a good portion of the prepared remarks commending CenTex ASPA, Ryan did a great job coordinating last minute stuff and receiving the ceremonial presentation on the floor, and Doyle, Marilyn and I waved from the balcony at the appropriate moment. Thank you for making all the arrangements and making sure it happened. Ryan plans to follow up for the Senate photographer shots, and I took several from the balcony (which are probably not going to be big enough) and one good one from just outside the gallery of Ryan with Doyle and Marilyn. Before I left I dropped off a poster and some buttons at Rep. Naishtat's and Senator Barrientos' offices. Ryan faxed me a copy of the resolution and I've put the text on the web at http://www.main.org/aspa/senpsr99.htm. Alan was tied up but said he saw the event on cable and it was great. Thanks again for giving us an elected official event for PSRW this tough-to-schedule year. Take a break, if that's possible, and come on over to the DHS fair day on Thurs. for a poster and button and to provide "face time" at the CenTex ASPA exhibit booth.
